Arweiniad i Cymru Cymraeg. A guide to Welsh Wales.

Sefydliadau sy’n caru’r Cymraeg / Organisations that care about Cymraeg

,

Mae’r sefydliadau yn y rhestr hon yn parchu’r Gymraeg, ac yn dangos hynny trwy’r gofal maent yn ei rhoi i’w deunudd hyrwyddo, eu gwefan ac ystad ddigidol, a’u agwedd tuag at yr iaith, yn enwedig mewn ardaloedd lle mae’r iaith yn cael ei siarad yn eang.

Mae’r werth nodi fod nifer o’r rhein yn sefydliadau cyhoeddus, ac felly mae’r gyfraith yn dweud bod rhaid iddyn gwneud rhai pethau yn ddwyieithog (Deddf yr Iaith Gymraeg 1993). Yn ddiweddar, dechreuodd Cymdeithas Yr Iaith Gymraeg ymgyrch newydd yn ceisio newid y gyfraith fel fod rhaid i sefydliadau preifat hefyd cynnig eu gwasanaethau yn ddwyieithog.

The organisations listed here respect the Cymraeg language and culture, and show this through the care they give to their promotional material, their website and digital estate, and their attitude to the language, particularly in those parts of Cymru where it is widely spoken.

It’s worth noting that most of these are public organisations, who by law must offer a limited bilingual service (1993 Welsh Language Act). Recently, the Welsh Language Society (Cymdeithas Yr Iaith Gymraeg) launched a campaign to change the law so that private organisations must also offer their services bilingually.
