Cartref hynafol rhyfeddol gyda hanes hynod.

Mae Castell Penrhyn yn le hollol rhyfeddol. Yn bensaerniol mae’n castell anferth mewn dull Normanaidd, gwblhawyd yn 1837. Mae ei hanes yn gymleth ac yn hynod, yn cyfuno’r chwareli llechi lleol, a caethwasiaeth planigfeydd siwgr Jamaica.

Yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yw’r sefydliad sy’n edrych ar ôl y castell – un o’r sefydliadau sy’n caru’r Cymraeg.

Astonishing stately home with a fascinating history.

Penrhyn Castle is an astonishing place. Visually, it’s a huge mock-Norman castle, finished in 1837. Historically, its complex and fascinating story brings together the local slate mining industry and slavery associated with the Jamaican sugar plantations.

The castle is looked after by The National Trust, one of the organisations that care about Cymraeg.
