Arweiniad i Cymru Cymraeg. A guide to Welsh Wales.

Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant

, , , , , ,

Man geni William Morgan, a gyfieithodd y beibl i’r Cymraeg.

O bosib dyma’r adeilad pwysicaf yn hanes yr iaith Cymraeg a’i ddiwylliant. Heb cyfieithiad William Morgan o’r beibl o’r Groeg a’r Hebreweg, efallai na fyddai’r iaith Gymraeg yn bodoli. Ac efallai na fyddai Bob Dim yn bodoli chwaith.

Mae ymweld a Tŷ Mawr yn brofiad arbennig iawn – gellir teimlo enaid yr iaith yma. Yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yw’r sefydliad sy’n edrych ar ol Tŷ Mawr, sef un o’r sefydliadau sy’n caru’r Cymraeg.

Birthplace of Bishop William Morgan, who translated the bible into Cymraeg.

Possibly the most important building in the history of the Cymraeg language and its culture. Without William Morgan’s translation of the bible from Greek and Hebrew, Cymraeg language and culture would arguably not exist. And maybe Bob Dim wouldn’t exist either.

A visit to Tŷ Mawr is highly recommended – the Cymraeg vibes are very strong here. Tŷ Mawr is looked after by The National Trust, one of the organisations that care about Cymraeg.
